Welcome To Taraknagar Ma Maharani High School

Taraknagar Ma Maharani High School(HS) is a Co-educational 10+2 Government Sponsored Higher Secondary Bengali Medium School which is situated in Krishnaganj Block of Nadia District. The School was established in the year 1975. The school started its journey on 6th January 1975 as a Junior High School. It got recognition as a Govt aided JrHigh School on 01-01-1986. Later in 2006 the School was upgraded to a Class-X High School. In the year 2013-14 the School had been upgraded to a Class XII Higher Secondary High School.

HM Desk

I, Ananda Mohan Mandal, M.Sc.(Maths), B.Ed. have been serving this School since 12-09-2008 as the Headmaster. Since my joining I have been tackling many problems to run the School smoothly. First of all a land dispute problem with the donors of the School had been prevailing since the 1st day of the School. The land dispute problem has been resolved by the KrishnagarCivil Judge Court’s order dated 22-08-2016. After my joining the first renovation work was the setting up of running water in the toilet of the school.

Since then the development work is going on. The School has been upgraded to a Higher Secondary School in the 2013-14. Political help was sought for this upgradation of the School. Since the year 2016 the Mark sheets of the students in the annual examination have been computerised. Class-XI annual examination Mark sheets also have been computerised. Very recently the School is imparting Information and communications Technology (ICT) programme among the students. Library room along with about 700 books has been set up in the school. Identity cards have been issued to the students which is very much helpful to the students.

President’s Desk

I, Samir Biswas, have been serving the school as a School Education Department, Govt. Of West Bnegal Nominated President since 31-12-2025. Most of the Development works of this School have been accomplished with the help of School Education Department. Boundary wall and Gents' toilet have been made with the help of Shibnibas Gram Panchayet. A modern Gymnasium has been set up in the school with the help of District Yubo Department. Mid-day meal programme has been running in the school very efficiently with the help of BDO, Krishnaganj office.

Already School Education Department has sanctioned3 ACRS(additional class room) due to upgradation of the school to an HS school. The constructional work of the ACRS has been done already and two Digital Class rooms have been set up in the school by the Backward classes welfare department, Govt of West Bengal. The constructional work of a dining shed towrds MDM programme has been accomplished by the BDO office Krishnaganj.
8 nos. CCTV cameras have been installed in the last week of March 2026 and these CCTV cameras will help the administration to detect any untoward incident in the school complex.
